Hello members,

3 years ago we were a AA club through and through. We had a Board that ran the entire club and all of the programs. Fast forward 3 years (2 years dealing with COVID) and we are now a Canadian Soccer Association-recognized AAA club with a full-time TD and ED. We also have a very engaged Board that represents the values and energy of our club. Soccer is for everyone. We have a strategic plan and ambitious goals to be better every year.

This past weekend our University Prep male and female players attended the South Shore United Atlantic Showcase. The best teams in Atlantic Canada squared off in a 3-day tournament to showcase their talent for university coaches in attendance. Attending this event has always been on our radar, but in reality, it was a dream. This past weekend, we attended the event and gave our players the opportunity to be seen and recruited. The goal was to attend in 2023 and now we will be better every year moving forward. These players have improved so much and it was very special to see them playing against the very best in Atlantic Canada. The Saint John Soccer Club is not afraid of a challenge.

Congrats to all of the players and coaches who made this a weekend to remember. The last 3 years have been an amazing journey of growth and positive challenges. It has been a pleasure to guide and watch you grow as athletes and soccer players. We are proud of your accomplishments. Finally, thanks to the parents who believe in the long-term player development model.

Thanks again for a fantastic weekend of soccer.

Dear SJSC friends,

We are delighted to unveil Saint John Soccer Club’s new three-year Strategic Plan!

Carefully constructed with the support of consultant Rick Adams, Board Members, membership feedback, and extensive research, this plan outlines what we will be aiming to achieve as a club between now and 2025.

This plan will guide Staff and Board members in the planning and decision-making process to ensure we are transparent, accountable, and able to effectively communicate our Vision; To be the most innovative and inclusive soccer club in Atlantic Canada.

Our new plan stems from our core values of CARE: community, accountability, respect, and enjoyment.

To achieve our mission and maintain our core values the growth of the club will rely on the following pillars:

  • Player Development
  • Coach Development
  • Referee Development
  • Club Development
  • Finance and Infrastructure
  • Community and Communications

These pillars will include targets and action items that will grow our club and help us develop all of our players from Grassroots to Competitive to new heights while partnering and building strong relationships within the community.

Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our new Strategic Plan. It is important to us that you know what we are trying to achieve as a club and are excited to share it!
